Sunday 27 January 2013

For a good 12 months, or maybe getting on for 18, I have promised myself that I am going to clean out my garage and transform it into some sort of fantastical, shabby-chic, eclectic and aladdin's cave-like showroom cliche that will be discovered by interior fashioniostas and become as famous (or more)as Quiggins in Liverpool.Eager shoppers, designers, filmcrews and magazine editors like Michelle Ogundehin will clamour to get through the cobwebs and discover the gems I've been collecting forever. Yes, dream on Rachel. Anyway, I shall endeavour to tidy it, arrange it and create something interseting over the next few months. Watch this space. Some pics of what it looks like right now to follow. Each month it must improve, you'll see....!!?x

Sunday 30 September 2012

The wind is really starting to blow now and we seem to have been in a perpetual monsoon for the last week!! But hey......Christmas is just around the corner. Hip.Hip.Hooray.I will say no more about it.

On a lighter note, we had a big birthday here. My Hatty was 18 last wednesday, 26th. She decided to celebrate with her girlfriends, by renting a couple of swanky apartments in Liverpool city centre and hitting the club and cocktail scene till the wee small hours. It was a joint celebration with Sophie, who turned 18 on the 20th. A fab time was had by all, but I guess the least I know about that, the better............

Needless to say, I am not privvy to any of those pics, but here are a few from home, on the day itself. ttfn.

Wednesday 29 August 2012

So it's been some weeks - summer is such a busy and frantic time. All holidayed out now and looking forward to the onslaught of wind and rain with a nice dollop of overspending on unnecessary and probably, largely unwanted Christmas gifts. Anyway just want to share an interior I experienced recently.

This place is a Japanese restaurant in Liverpool - 'Sakura'. Entrance is in Exchange Flags with external views over Tithebarn Street. The food is quite good; the service could be better but me being me, the interior is fab. It's all about texture - string blinds; boothes, grasscloth, slate, granite and glamour - very 'Scousewives'! (Is that such a bad thing?!!) See what you think................

Friday 6 July 2012

July has arrived and we are watching the rain come down - again! Our bedroom is finally complete, soooo long awaited but very worth it.........

Above is my Moooi Rabbit lamp and below our Philippe Starck Gun lamp.

We have a beautiful view of trees outside the bedroom window, so  I painted my own interpretation.

The bedding is from Zara Home. It's amazing and everyone should have at least one set. I love to mix and match the different collections for that extra individuality.

We can walk inside the wardrobe , which is so perfect.

 We can make tea!
My glass pieces are a mix of vintage and new and combine the colours in the Trees canvas and the beautiful Mademoiselle chair from Kartell.

My shoerobe was the final piece of the jigsaw - pity about the shoes!!
Bye bye til next time. Would love to know what you think too.........x
